Marble French Nails With Venique Lacquer

by Kimberly Pham | August 30, 2013 | Bookmark +

Marbleized nails are an effective way to showcase style and color and are also easy to create. The marbleized nails shown here were created by veteran nail tech and Venique educator Bernice Diep. Diep is the owner of Nails by Bernice in Highland, Texas. In her 23 years of doing nails, she has worked at a few different salons in Texas, doing the nails of Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders and TV news anchors, and was an educator/supervisor for a spa for five years before opening her own salon.

Joining the Venique team in 2012, Diep enjoys seeing the excitement in her training sessions. “At the end of a class, I see the excitement from my students at what they’ve learned and how eager they are to try new techniques and how much they are willing to work and perfect it,” she says.

Venique is a one-coat polish with rich and vibrant colors. In the video we shot above, Diep demonstrates how to create a marbleizing French look using two colors and a dotting tool. “Venique polish made marbleizing so much easier. Even though Venique is a one coat polish the colors are so vivid that the marbleizing technique really stands out and pops,” she says.

A big tip is to open all of your polish bottles before starting this technique. Keeping the polish wet is important when marbleizing with the dotting tool.
